Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ShiftRI ("we", "us", "our", "the Service"), a workforce rostering and management tool. By creating an account or using ShiftRI, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

ShiftRI provides staff rostering, shift scheduling, pay rate tracking, and related workforce management tools for hospitality and other businesses. We may add, change, or remove features from time to time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

One account is intended for use by one business. Using a single subscription across multiple separate businesses is not permitted — each business requires its own subscription.

3. Subscription & Billing

4. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or pause access to your account if payment fails, your subscription lapses, or you breach these Terms. Suspending an account does not delete your data — your roster, employee, and business information remains stored and is restored on reactivation.

We may terminate accounts that remain unpaid for an extended period, or that are used in violation of these Terms, with reasonable notice where practical.

5. Your Data

You retain ownership of the data you input into ShiftRI, including employee names, shifts, pay rates, and related business information. You're responsible for the accuracy of this data and for complying with employment, privacy, and wage laws applicable to your business (such as Fair Work Australia award rates).

ShiftRI is a tool to help manage rostering and pay information — it does not constitute legal, accounting, or industrial relations advice. You remain responsible for ensuring pay rates and rostering practices comply with the law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, interfering with the Service's operation, or using it for unlawful purposes.

7. Availability

We aim to keep ShiftRI available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We're not liable for outages, data loss from third-party failures, or issues outside our reasonable control.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShiftRI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of ShiftRI after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
